Plustnet and BT Home Hub 5
 Date Written
Graham Strong Aug 01, 2015, 05:20am EDT Report Abuse
I've been with BT for my Infinity fibre BB for a while, but now getting fed up with their service and price hikes.
Has anyone managed to use a BT Home Hub 5a with Plusnet?
I understand Plusnet provide a standard router AND an Open Reach modem. The HH5 has both combined in one box, therefore plugs direct into the telephone socket.
Apparently too, is more reliable that two boxes.
If I can reuse my BT supplied HH I may consider Plusnet. What settings would I need to change?
Checked the settings and can't see a way of changing the BB username/PW.

For anyone reading this, I can now confirm that the BT Hub 5 will work directly with UK Plusnet for Fibre Broadband. Only requires a reset of the hub and enter new log in information.
No need for the BT Open Reach modem.
Hope this helps.
